Baseball Eyes Season Sweep of VCU Tuesday

RICHMOND, Va.. -- One week after walking off against VCU in Norfolk, Old Dominion travels to Richmond on Tuesday to try and complete the midweek season sweep of the Rams. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. ET at The Diamond.
Riding the momentum of a series win at UTSA over the weekend, the Monarchs are looking to knock off the Rams for the second consecutive Tuesday.
Last week, ODU defeated VCU, 6-5, in walk-off fashion in Norfolk.
In that victory, John Wilson (.125, 0 HR, 4 RBI) drew a pinch-hit walk with the bases loaded to plate the winning run in the ninth. Will Morgan (.245, 3 HR, 12 RBI) and Tommy Bell (.215, 2 HR, 21 RBI) both homered to help ODU overcome a 4-0 deficit.
Overall, Bryce Windham (.352, 1 HR, 13 RBI) leads the Monarchs in hitting and true freshman Ryan Teschko (.306, 1 HR, 13 RBI) is second. Andy Garriola (.296, 4 HR, 29 RBI) and Richmond-area native Vinnie Pasquantino (.263, 6 HR, 29 RBI) are tied for the team lead in RBIs.
Old Dominion is 8-1 in midweek games this season, with the lone loss coming at Virginia.
Left-hander Jason Hartline (0-0, 5.06 ERA) is expected to start for ODU. Hartline threw 0.2 innings against the Rams last Tuesday, allowing one earned run.
VCU is expected to throw righty Justin Sorokowski (2-1, 3.69 ERA).
Over the weekend, VCU won 2-of-3 against Fordham to continue their reign atop the Atlantic 10 standings. The Rams are 10-2 in A-10 play. Overall, Liam Hibbits (.415, 3 HR, 36 RBI) and Zac Ching (.329, 6 HR, 37 RBI) headline an offense that is hitting a collective .303. Series History: ODU leads, 92-61.
