NORFOLK, Va. – Kyra Ricks of the Old Dominion women’s soccer team was named the Conference USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, as voted on and announced by league officials.

Ricks extended her streak to three for scoring a goal in consecutive matches, as she scored at ECU and against cross-town rival William & Mary, while adding an assist to her name against the Tribe as well. Her goal in Greenville proved to be the game-winner. Ricks has four goals and two assists in the past four games. The Portsmouth, Va. native now ranks second on the team for goals (4), assists (3) and points (12).

The start to the 2019 season is ODU’s best since 2006, while the victory over W&M was the first for the Monarchs since 2005. Through seven games, ODU has outscored its opponents 21-8.

Old Dominion will return to action on Friday, Sept. 20 at 8:00 p.m. ET, when the Monarchs travel to Denton, Texas for the Conference USA opener against North Texas [RV]. ODU will then return home on Sunday, Sept. 22 for a non-conference showdown against Auburn of the SEC at 3:30 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
