Two Lacrosse Student-Athletes Chosen for Campus Ambassador Position
By ODU Athletics
NORFOLK, Va. - Junior Katie Miller and Sophomore Anna Davis on the ODU women’s lacrosse team were both chosen to be campus ambassadors for the remainder of their time at ODU. It is competitive enough that only 15 students were chosen as ambassadors out of more than 35 applicants.
As campus ambassadors, the young adults are responsible for giving tours of the campus, being a peer resource, attending multiple school functions as a leader, and most importantly, representing Old Dominion as best as possible.
Miller and Davis are the only two female student-athletes chosen as ambassadors. The position had a long application process, which included possessing a minimum 3.0 GPA. Adding to that, they must submit a resume that stood out from the other candidates. Finally, once the students submitted those requirements, they were put through two sets of interviews.
Davis explains, “The position allows us to be very active on campus and communicative with students, prospect students, and faculty. It also allows us to really demonstrate our commitment to ODU outside of lacrosse.”
For Miller and Davis, their passion for ODU goes beyond the lacrosse field. The young women are excited for what they can do to help the ODU community in the years to come.
