NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion women's basketball team opens up Conference USA play on Thursday against UAB at 7 p.m. at the Ted Constant Center.

The game will be streamed live on beIN Sports Connect and can also be heard locally on the radio on Famous 1310 AM.

Old Dominion (2-11) is coming off of a 52-35 win over South Carolina State last week. The 35 points was the lowest point total the Monarchs have allowed since 2014.

ODU is 3-1 all-time in C-USA openers and have won three consecutive openers. Last year, the Monarchs defeated Rice, 59-47, in Houston in the conference opener.

Freshman guard Victoria Morris and senior forward Odegua Oigbokie have paced the Monarchs' offense so far this season. Morris has scored in double figures in 11 of the 13 contests and Oigbokie is averaging 15 points and nine rebounds in the last four games, including a pair of double-doubles.

ODU leads the all-time series against UAB, 13-4, and defeated the Blazers, 73-61, last year at The Ted.

UAB (11-2) posted its second-best non-conference record ever with an 11-2 mark this season. The Blazers are averaging 76 points per game and are shooting over 41 percent as a team from beyond the arc. Rachael Childress leads the team in scoring with 14.4 points per game.
