Wrestling Coach Alex Dolly Qualifies for World Championships

NORFOLK, Va. - ODU assistant wrestling coach, Alex Dolly (84kg) qualified for the World Championships after earning a 5th place finish at the European Championships in Finland this past Friday, which is the highest placing ever for an Irish wrestler.

Dolly will compete for Ireland this September at the World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Dolly had already earned Ireland's highest ever finish at the World Championships finishing 9th out of 45 wrestlers at the 2011 championships in Istanbul. He won two matches at 84kg before eventually falling to Shinya Matsumoto of Japan.
