Rusak Takes Second at Penn State Open

Rusak defeated Ohio's John Wervey, 3-2, in the opening round before knocking off North Carolina's Jake Reynolds, 8-4, in the second round. In quarterfinal action, Rusak notched his eighth pin of the season as he dropped Lock Haven's Chris Haines in 3:38.
In the semifinal's, Rusak topped seventh-ranked DeGrand, 3-2, to advance to the finals. Penn State's Clint Musser then defeated Rusak, 10-3, handing the sophomore just his eighth career loss.
Freshman Jake Cairns (Brick, NJ) won three matches at 157 before bowing out of the tournament, while senior Chip Reyes (Virginia Beach, VA) won two matches at 125. Senior Chris Harrington (North Ft. Myers, FL) won his first round match at 184.
The Monarchs take the next three weeks off for exams and Christmas break before returning to action December 29-30 at the Wilkes Open.
