Rusak, Harrington Earn Wins as Monarchs Fall to UVA, 7-32

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (Jan. 15) -- Sophomore Jeff Rusak (Reading, PA) and senior Chris Harrington (N. Ft. Myers, FL) scored wins in the 165 and 197 pound weight classes as Old Dominion's wrestling team fell to Virginia, 7-32. The Monarchs dropped to 1-3 on the season, while UVA improved to 2-4.

Rusak, ranked #15 in the country, earned his 22nd consecutive dual match victory in a 3-1 decision over the Cavaliers' Brian Muir. Rusak improved his season record to 23-2.

Harrington earned a major decision at 197, defeating Virginia's Andy DeMartino, 12-2, to earn his ninth victory of the season.

The Monarchs return to action on Friday, January 21, as the team competes in the Virginia Intercollegiate State Tournament in Blacksburg, VA. The event runs from the 21st to the 22nd and is hosted by Virginia Tech.
