ODU Wrestling to Compete in CAA Duals

The Old Dominion wrestling team will compete this Friday and Saturday in the first annual Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Duals hosted by George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. This will be ODU's first conference action of the season.
A total of 12 nationally ranked wrestlers will take part in this meet as each of the 11 CAA wresting teams will compete in the two-day event. Six of those wrestlers represent nationally ranked Hofstra while Rider and Sacred Heart have two ranked wrestlers and Drexel and George Mason each have one. Competition will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and continue at 11 a.m. Saturday at the George Mason Fieldhouse on the West Campus.
A total of 23 dual meets will be contested in the two days. Four dual meets will be held in Session 1 (Friday at 6 p.m.), five in each of Sessions 2-4 (Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) and four more in Session 5 (Saturday at 3 p.m.). Admission is $8 per day or $15 for a two-day pass.
ODU (3-2) will first face Binghamton in Session 1 before entertaining Boston University in the second session Friday night. The Monarchs will open action on Saturday against Rider at 11:00 a.m. and finish with Sacred Heart in Session 4.
This will mark the first time the Monarchs have faced Binghamton, Boston and Sacred Heart in head-to-head dual competition. Last season's 40-6 loss was their first dual meet with Rider.
