NORFOLK, Va. - The James Madison Dukes defeated the Old Dominion wrestling team this evening, 23-9. With the win, James Madison improves to 5-6, 2-0 CAA. The Monarchs fall to 5-4, 1-1 CAA.

The Dukes raced out to an early 17-0 lead by virtue of three decisions and two major decisions in the first five matches. Two wins by Old Dominion's Will Carroll (Bethany Beach, DE) and Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA) cut the JMU lead to 17-6, but the Monarchs could manage only one victory in the final three matches as junior Jeff Rusak (Reading, PA) picked up an overtime win over Nathan Rickman.

Old Dominion will return to action on Sunday, when they host the University of Virginia at 4:30 p.m.
