Nicholson Named First-Team All-State for Fourth-Straight Year

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Old Dominion University senior James Nicholson earned his fourth-straight first team all-State honor, selected by the Virginia Sports Information Directors announced Friday.

Nicholson finished his senior year with a 35-3 record and became ODU's first two-time All-American since Buddy Lee in 1980 and 1982.

The Des Moines, Iowa native was the first wrestler in CAA history to win four-straight conference titles and was the 2011 CAA Wrestler of the Year.

He graduates tied for the schools all-time wins record with Chris Brown at 138 wins.
