In the promotion leading up to ODU Football's first Ladies Night event, Head Coach Bobby Wilder said, "They will get to see what our players experience from the off the field preparation to the on field drill work and game preparation. They will also get the game day experience our players have at S.B. Ballard Stadium!"
Last night, over 300 ladies experienced what was promised and more.
Old Dominion Football Ladies Night featured a Football 101 rules session from an FBS official, equipment demonstration, a tour of the football facilities and locker room, and a skills session with Coach Wilder, his staff and players. The event was capped off by a Wine Tasting reception, Q&A with the coaches and spouses, and a fashion show at S.B. Ballard Stadium, featuring the latest in Monarch game-day apparel.
Participants also received a replica ODU jersey, a tote bag filled with goodies, photo ops with the coaching staff, and had the opportunity to participate in a raffle to benefit the football scholarship fund . Participants will reunite at a tailgate at the September 13th game against Eastern Michigan and receive a gameday experience on the field prior to kickoff.
