Monarch Sailors Take Sixth in Aaron Szambecki Team Race

NORFOLK, VA. (March 26) - The seventh ranked Monarch sailing squad finished sixth in the Aaron Szambecki Team Race Invitational at the Old Dominion University Sailing Center on March 26. The Monarchs were 6-8 in the regatta. Top ranked St. Mary's College finished 13-4 to win the event and second ranked Southern California placed second.

Skippering for the Monarchs were Adam Burns (Youngstown, NY), Ryan Dunn (Brick, NJ.), and Justin Castagne (Trinidad, West Indies). The Monarch crew consisted of Heather Pescatello (Westerly, RI), Liz Biondi (Norwalk, CT.), Melissa Schulz (Bay Shore, NY.), Emily Ruiter (Freehold, NJ.) and Brock Callen.
