Monarchs Vie for Spot in Dinghy Nationals

Monarch All-American and team MVP Adam Burns (Youngstown, NY) will skipper A Division with crew consisting of two-time All-American Heather Pescatello (Westerly, RI) and Abigail Curran (Osterville, MA). Justin Castagne (Maraval Trinidad, West Indies) will skipper B Division with Christine Thomas (Norfolk, VA) and Brock Callen (Chilmark, MA) as crew.
The America Trophy is the MAISA (Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association) district dinghy championship. Top-ranked St. Mary?s comes into the regatta as the defending champion, with No. 5 Hobart William Smith, No. 7 Navy, No. 10 Old Dominion and No. 14 Kings Point as the top challengers. The Monarchs finished second in the America Trophy in 1999.
