ODU Sailors Eighth After Day One At Dinghy National Championships

AUSTIN, TX--The Old Dominion University sailing squad is currently eighth with 97 points after 12 races in the ICSA North American Collegiate Co-Ed Dinghy National championships being held at the Austin Yacht Club on Lake Travis. The University of Hawaii leads the regatta with 66 points.

The Monarchs A Division boat sailed by Anna Tunnicliffe, Mike Smith and Emily Bartlett are third with 33 points, just eight points behind the University of Hawaii's Bryan Lake and Jennifer Warnock. John Storck and Mandi Markee of Hobart William Smith are second with 31 points. ODU's boat tallied three second places and a fifth in six races.

The Monarchs B Division boat of Bill Berg, Charles Higgins, Jen Adams and Ryan Kozoriz are in 12th spot. Racing continues Thursday.
