Lady Monarchs Fifth After First Day Of ICYRA Nationals

ST. MARY'S, MD (May 28) - Old Dominion's women's sailing team is currently in fifth place after one day of racing in the ICYRA Women's National Championships at St. Mary's College May 28. Alison Calderbank and Sally Barkow are seventh after four races in A Division, while Kate Chechak and Emily Ruiter are fifth after two races in B Division.

Dartmouth leads the event with 21 points, followed by Tufts with 25, Southern Cal with 27, Boston College with 38 and Old Dominion with 39. Racing did not get started until 2 pm due to poor wind conditions. The event continues on Monday and concludes on Tuesday.
