GENEVA, N.Y. - The Old Dominion sailing team put forth a pair of solid results this past weekend, claiming fifth at both the War Memorial Regatta and the Top Nine Invitational.

Four teams ranked in the Top 11 finished ahead of ODU at the War Memorial, which was held in Geneva, N.Y. The Monarchs were only bested by No. 2 St. Mary's, No. 11 Navy, No. 5 Georgetown and No. 9 Hobart/William Smith in the 18-team field.

Senior Stephanie Roble skippered the Monarchs to a fifth-place finish in the A-Division. Freshman skipper Scott Hoffmann led ODU to a seventh-place result in the B-Division.

Roble paired with three separate crew members during the 14 races and led Old Dominion to six Top 5 results. Roble and Miles Martschink garnered a second-place finish in the 12th race, the best for ODU during the two days of racing.

ODU also saw six Top 5 finishes in the B-Division as Hoffmann teamed up with Jessica Milligan and Dillon Paiva.

At the Top Nine Invite, ODU sent two boats, finishing in fifth and seventh in the 17-team field. Kings Point won the regatta and placed both of its boats in the Top 3. Brady Stagg and Chloe Constants led the Monarchs in the A-Division, while Corina Radtke and Jordan Stock paced ODU in B-Division sailing.

Next up for Old Dominion is the ICSA Singlehanded National Championships, which run Nov. 5-7 at the University of South Florida. The Lady Monarchs will be represented by Morgan Wilson, who finished fourth at the MAISA Conference Championships in late September.
