Sailing: Old Dominion University Hosts the ODU Open on March 4-5

Old Dominion University will be hosting the ODU Open on March 4-5 at the Old Dominion Sailing Center. It is the quarterfinal for the Dingy National Championship.

The top three teams will be qualified to advance to the semifinals of the America Trophy which Old Dominion will also be hosting on April 29-30.

Thirteen co-ed teams will be competing this weekend against Old Dominion. They include: UMBC, Penn, Hampton, Virginia, Navy, Princeton, Maryland, St. Mary's, Washington College, Christopher Newport, Salisbury State, Loyola and Georgetown.

The Monarchs are one of the four qualified teams that include St. Mary's, Georgetown and Hobart William Smith that will automatically advance to the semi's.

The event will begin on Saturday at 9:45, with action on Sunday beginning at 9:30.
