DeMarco Wins First CFL Start

REGINA - Former Old Dominion University quarterback, Thomas DeMarco, led the BC Lions to a 24-22 come-from-behind victory over Saskatchewan in his first ever start for the Canadian Football League team.

DeMarco completed passes of 15 and 17 yards on the final drive to set up a 42-yard game-winning field goal by place kicker, Paul McCallum.

DeMarco finished the day 18-of-33, for 208 yards and two touchdown passes.  DeMarco and the Lions improved to 8-4 on the season.  BC plays again on Friday, Sept. 27 against Winnipeg.
