Monarchs Add Raul Martinez to Recruiting Class

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football Head Coach Bobby Wilder announced on Friday that offensive lineman Raul Martinez signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Monarchs.

“We are all very excited with the addition of Raul Martinez to our signing class. Raul is an outstanding person and an even better football player,” Wilder said.  “He turned down a number of scholarship offers before deciding to become an Old Dominion Monarch. We anticipate he will compete for a starting position on the offensive line this year.”

Martinez becomes the 25th student-athlete to join the Monarchs, as 24 student-athletes joined ODU on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

A 3-Star recruit by ESPN, Rivals and 247 Sports … Earned All-Southern California Association National Northern Conference honors as a sophomore at PCC … Named All-Pacific League in high school.

Other Schools Considered: Cincinnati, Michigan State, Utah State, Western Kentucky, Washington State, Colorado State, Purdue
