NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University successfully defeated the weather by practicing today, on a sunny 65-degree day, instead of the scheduled workout tomorrow in the potential mid-20's and snow and rain.
The Monarchs worked out for just under two hours in the NCAA mandated helmets only practice for the second day of the spring.
ODU was highly productive in the practice session that featured several team periods, including ending the day with a 10-minute session in the red zone.
The Monarchs will now take Monday off from the practice field and hold their next practice on Wednesday in shoulder pads and helmets.
