About The Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are coached by Skip Holtz, the former head coach at East Carolina and South Florida, and son of ESPN Commentator and former South Carolina and Notre Dame Head Coach, Lou Holtz.  Prior to joining TECH, Holtz spent three years at USF and five years at ECU.

Kenneth Dixon was named the 2012 WAC Freshman of the Year and a freshman All-America, and followed that up with All-Conference USA honors in 2013 after rushing for 917 yards and four touchdowns.  Tevin King also returns after rushing for 539 yards and a score in 2013.

LA TECH returns two quarterbacks that saw significant time in 2013 in Ryan Higgins and Scotty Young.  Higgins completed 166-of-281 passes for 1,715 yards and six touchdowns along with 13 interceptions.  Young was 87-of-165 for 733 yards and tossed four TD’s and two INT’s.

TECH graduated its top three leading receivers, as Trent Taylor is the leading returner with 28 receptions for 260 yards and a pair of scores.  Hunter Lee caught 16 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Louisiana Tech lost leading tackler Daniel Cobb to graduation but return Thomas McDonald, Mitch Villemez and Xavier Woods.  McDonald was second on the team in tackles with 70 and recorded three interceptions while Villemez had 69 tackles and two picks.  Woods finishes with 61 stops while Adairius Barnes led the team with four interceptions.

In the NFL
Louisiana Tech has a solid history of sending players to the NFL, dating back to when Terry Bradshaw was the first overall pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970 NFL Draft and leading the Steelers to four Super Bowl Championships.  Recently, LA TECH had Quinton Patton and Jordan Mills taken in last year’s draft, and prior to that had first rounder’s Troy Edwards, first round in 1999, and NFL Hall of Famer Willie Roaf.

The Game
The home finale is the first game between Louisiana Tech and the Monarchs and the Monarchs will honor its 20 seniors, the largest senior class in school history, prior to the game.
