Lady Monarchs Last Time Out – Fri. Aug. 29, VCU: 1  ODU: 1 (2OT)
In the first half, ODU junior defender Jordan Jones played a lead pass into senior captain Jessie Klamut, who beat VCU's keeper, Emma Kruse, with a shot that fed into the left side of the net giving Old Dominion a 1-0 lead just 6:31 into the match.

A VCU penalty kick in the 89th minute tied the match 1-1 and after two overtimes Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth played to a 1-1 stalemate last Friday night at the ODU Soccer Complex. For the second consecutive game, Old Dominion had their largest attendance since 2010, with the attendance being 679.

ODU head coach Angie Hind said after the match, “I thought we started really well and created some good opportunities in the early stages of the game. After losing the goal with one minute left in regulation time, many teams would have folded but I believe that we took the game to them in overtime and were the team most likely to score. For us and where we are at the moment, this was a great step.  We showed such character and togetherness throughout the match.”

Campbell currently holds a 1-2-0 overall record as they have played Richmond (W, 1-0), UNCW (L, 0-1) and East Tennessee State (L, 3-2 - 2OT). Stuart Horne is in the midst of his first year as the head women’s soccer coach at Campbell after serving as the associate head coach at Elon. Horne is the sixth coach at the helm of the CU women’s soccer program since it began in 1992.

All single game tickets (seniors, faculty/staff, military and youth are $4, adults are $5, while groups of 10+ go for $3 apiece) can be purchased on game day at the ODU Soccer Complex starting 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Soccer voucher books (20 tickets which can all be used at one game or dispersed throughout the season) can be purchased at, the Constant Center box office or on game days at the ODU Soccer Complex for $25.
