NORFOLK, VA - Old Dominion travels to Northeastern and Hofstra this weekend in CAA play. The Lady Monarchs are currently 10-2-0, 4-1-0 in the CAA, their best record in the history of the program, and are tied with William and Mary and James Madison for 2nd place in the conference. Northeastern has yet to beat a conference opponent with a 0-5 record in the CAA, and 3-9-1 overall with their only wins coming over Long Island, Holy Cross and Sacred Heart. Hofstra is tied with VCU for first place in the CAA, with both teams carrying an undefeated record of 5-0.

SoccerBuzz has Old Dominion in the no. 5 spot in their latest Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings, while the NSCAA/ADIDAS Mid-Atlantic Regional rankings has the Lady Monarchs ranked at no.6.

Saturday's game marks a first ever match up between the Lady Monarchs and CAA newcomers Northeastern. Northeastern dropped their fifth straight game last Sunday, losing to Towson 2-1 after out shooting them 19-7. This is their worst streak since 1999 when they went 0-5 for the last five games of the season. The Huskies welcome Old Dominion to Parson's Field on Saturday; the game is scheduled to start at 6:00pm.

Hofstra enters this weekend's game with eight straight wins under their belt, tying their school record. To beat the record the Pride must beat William and Mary on Saturday. William and Mary eliminated Hofstra in their last two CAA semi-final meetings, capturing a 1-0 shutout in 2003, and a 2-1 overtime victory last year. ODU is 0-3-0 all-time against the Pride, falling 1-0 in overtime last year. The Lady Monarchs travel to Hofstra this Sunday, game time is set for 1:00pm.
