HEMPSTEAD, NY - The Lady Monarchs took a loss today to CAA leader Hofstra 1-0. Old Dominion is now 10-4-0, 4-3-0 in the CAA, while Hofstra remains undefeated in the conference with a 7-0-0 record; the Pride is 11-2-1 overall.

Hofstra Midfielder Amber Albrecht scored the lone goal in the 76th minute of play extending Hofstra's winning streak to 10 consecutive games.

ODU recorded seven shots on goal to Hofstra's three. Sophomore forward Lisa McKenzie (Inverness, Scotland) missed scoring a goal by inches after her shot ricocheted off the crossbar of the goal. Freshman goalkeeper Colby Owen (Virginia Beach, VA) had two saves in the match.

The Lady Monarchs return to CAA conference action Friday, October 21, as they travel to Richmond to take on Virginia Commonwealth.
