JMU goal in the 89th minute of play by Annie Lowry allowed the Dukes to squeeze by the Lady Monarchs in a 1-0 shutout. Old Dominon has now lost five of their last six games and falls to 10-6-0 overall, 4-5-0 in the CAA. The Dukes are now 10-6-1, and 5-3-1 in the conference.

Natalie Ewell and Kim Argy each recorded assists for Lowry's goal at 88:11. JMU held an 8-7 shot advantage over the Lady Monarchs, and a 4-1 corner kick edge.

Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Tupman (Virginia Beach, VA) made her debut as a starter for Old Dominion, playing all 90 minutes and recording four saves. Senior forward Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA) made three attempts at scoring but just couldn't find the back of the net.

The Lady Monarchs return home next weekend as they rap up the 2005-2006 regular season with home matches against George Mason and Towson.
