David Horst's Goal Leads Houston To MLS Victory

KANSAS CITY, KS. – Former ODU Soccer standout David Horst (Pine Grove, PA.)scored a goal to help lead the Houston Dynamo to a 3-1 victory over Kansas City.  It was Horst’s second career MLS goal. With the match even at 1-1, Horst headed in a Brad Davis free kick to make it 2-1.  (Click on the link above to read the recap and watch the video).

David Horst was a two-time CAA Defender of the Year selection (2006 and 2007), and a three-time All-CAA selection and two-time All-South Atlantic Region pick.  Horst was named second team All-American in 2007 by Collegesoccernews.com.

Horst was drafted in the first round as the 14th overall selection of the 2008 MLS Super draft by Real Salt Lake.  He made his full professional MLS debut on Aug. 16, 2008 against his current team, the Houston Dynamo. Horst played for the Portland Timbers from 2011-13.
