Men's Soccer Falls To UNC-Greensboro, 3-0

NORFOLK, VA. (Sept. 2) - The Spartans of the University of North Carolina Greensboro defeated Old Dominion University in a non-conference men's soccer match, 3-0 Saturday evening. ODU is now 0-1, UNCG 1-0.

Alejandro Moreno got the Spartans on the board first with a goal at 15:09 remaining in the first half. Chris Goos scored 26:56 left in the match to make it 2-0 and Svafnir Gislason finished the scoring with a goal at 7:06 left in the match.

ODU outshot UNCG, 10-4, but the Spartans goalkeeper Greg Raber had four saves. The game was delayed about an hour because of rain and lightning. The Monarchs return to action next Friday afternoon in the William and Mary Tournament against Fairleigh Dickinson.
