Cameron Named CAA Player of the Week/ ODU Moves Up To Fourth Nationally

NORFOLK, VA. -- Senior goalkeeper Sam Cameron (Raleigh, NC.) was named Player of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association. Cameron's seven saves helped the Monarchs defeat #5 Wake Forest, 2-0 on Sunday. ODU is 6-0 and has not allowed a goal.

The Monarchs moved up to fourth in three of the four major soccer polls this week. ODU is fourth in the NSCAA/Adidas coaches poll, Soccer America, and Soccer Times. They are sixth in College Soccer News. This is the highest rankings ever in ODU men's soccer history.

The Monarchs host the University of Maryland-Baltimore County Wednesday night at the ODU Soccer Stadium, game time is 7 p.m.
