Northeastern Defeats Monarchs, 3-0

BOSTON, MA--Northeastern University (7-6 /6-1) defeated Old Dominion (8-4-2/3-3-2)Saturday evening, 3-0 in a Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer match.

The Huskies, who are currently in second place in the CAA were led by goals from Don Anding,Matt Laning and Josh Semerene.

Anding scored on an early goal from Andre Ciliotta and Santiago Bedoya. Three minutes later Laning pushed one in after getting a pass from Ciliotta. The Huskies third goal came in the second half from 20 yards out by Josh Semerene.

NU's Scott Partridge picked up his sixth shutout of the year. Anding now has four goals for the Huskies and Ciliotta has six assists.

The Monarchs return home Tuesday night to host VCU at 7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
