Duke Men's Soccer Adds Assistant Coach

DURHAM, N.C. (August 27) -- Duke men's soccer Head Coach John Rennie has announced that Pete Sadin has been added to his staff as an assistant coach for the 1999 campaign. Sadin, who will serve as the Blue Devils' goalkeeper coach this fall, played his collegiate soccer at Virginia Wesleyan College. He was a first-team All-South selection and the Virginia Intercollegiate Soccer Association Player of the Year. Sadin has played professional soccer with the Raleigh Capital Express, the Hampton Roads Mariners, and the Raleigh Flyers.

The Blue Devils enter the year ranked No. 16 in the country. Duke is coming off a 1998 campaign that ended with an 18-4 overall record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Duke's 1999 season begins on Wednesday, September 1, when the squad faces Monmouth at 7:00 p.m. in Durham.
