Tanner Named CAA Player Of the Week For Men's Soccer

RICHMOND, VA (September 27) -- Old Dominion forward Jimmy Tanner (Syracuse, NY) was named the Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer Player of the Week today. The senior from Christian Brothers High School scored two goals and assisted on a third in the Monarchs 3-1 victory over CAA-foe American on Saturday.

Thus far through the 1999 season, Tanner has tallied seven goals and one assist for 15 points. His seven strikes are tops in the CAA and his 15 points rank second-best.

Recently, he moved into the top ten on the Monarchs all-time scoring lists with 21 career goals (9th), eight assists and 50 points (8th).
