NORFOLK, VA -Former Old Dominion University men's soccer standout, Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia), has been selected as the 2004 recipient of the Thomas L. Scott Memorial Award by the Norfolk Sports Club. The award is given to the outstanding senior athlete at Old Dominion University. The award will be presented April 19.

Vendegh, now playing for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the A-League, left the Monarchs as the school's all-time leading scorer, with 56 goals, 22 assists and 134 points. This past season, he received numerous awards, including the Colonial Athletic Association Scholar Athlete award, CAA All-First Team, NSCAA/Adidas All-American Second Team and CAA Player of the Week (October 27).
