Three Soccer Monarchs Earn NSCAA All-Regional Honors

NORFOLK, VA--Three Old Dominion University Soccer Monarchs; David Horst (Pine Grove, PA.), Edson Elcock (Brooklyn, NY.) and Jared Kent (Marietta, GA.) were selected to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic team by the NSCAA coaches association. Horst and Elcock were named to the first team, while Kent was selected to the second team.

The three helped lead the Soccer Monarchs to a 14-6-2 overall record and the NCAA third round which is the deepest ODU has ever advanced. During Elcock and Kent's four Years, ODU competed in four straight NCAA tournament second rounds.

Elcock, a senior forward led the CAA in scoring with 11 goals, six assists for 28 total points. Horst, a junior and the CAA Defender of the Year anchored ODU's defense, while Kent, a senior was third in the CAA in assists with six. All-three earned All-CAA honors. Both Horst and Elock are now eligible for the NSCAA All-American squad which will be announced in December.
