Trevor McEachron Named National Player of the Week

NORFOLK, VA. -- Junior defender Trevor McEachron (Woodbridge, VA.) was named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 14. He was also named CAA Player of the Week for the second straight week. The unbeaten Monarchs (5-0) remain in the nation's top ten for the second week in a row, the highest being fifth in Soccer America.

McEachron was named tournament MVP of the Stihl Soccer Classic this past weekend. He scored the winning goal Friday night against American and again anchored ODU's tough defense which has not allowed a goal thus far this season. McEachron has scored two goals for ODU thus far.

The Monarchs won the Stihl Soccer Classic, outscoring opponents, 7-0. ODU will meet #5 Wake Forest Friday night at 7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer stadium as part of the William and Mary soccer tournament. Wake Forest edged ODU, 1-0 in last year's NCAA second round with a goal with less than a minute left in the match.
