ODU Shares CAA Regular Season Title With Drexel After 1-0 at W&M

WILLIAMSBURG, VA--Bobby Foglesong's goal with 2:17 left in the second overtime period lifted the Monarchs of Old Dominion (11-6-2/ 8-2-1) to a 1-0 victory over the Tribe of William and Mary (9-8-3/6-4-1) Thursday night.

The victory gives the Monarchs a share of CAA regular season crown with Drexel who defeated Delaware earlier today, 3-0. Both ODU and Drexel will have a quarterfinal round bye and will play in the semi-finals in next week's CAA Soccer Championships at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, Nov. 16 and 18. ODU as the second seed will meet the winner of the VCU/Northeastern game Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

With 2:17 left in the second extra period, senior A.J. Kulp hit Foglesong from the rightside with a pass where he fired it in for the game winner. ODU outshot the Tribe, 16-5 and sophomore goalkeeper Evan Netwon picked up his CAA leading ninth shutout Of the season. He had three saves on the night.
