Harris Just Three Strokes Out At CAA Championships

MIDLOTHIAN, VA. - Senior Geoffrey Harris(Reading, England) is only three strokes behind the leader after the first day at the Colonial Athletic Association Golf Championships at the Independence Golf Course. Harris, ranked 27th nationally shot a 70 and trails Marc Mandel of Towson(67) and Ted Brown of VCU (69). As a team, the Monarchs are in fourth with a 299, while Towson leads the field with a 289.

Junior Chris Kline (Hampton, VA.) is tied for 12th with a 75, Chris Piercy (Reading, England) and freshman Nick Kenney (Toronto, Canada) are tied for 24th with 77's. The second round will be played Monday.
