Golfers Begin NCAA Play Thursday In Seattle

Washington Hosts Regional
NORFOLK, VA. - The Old Dominion University golfers begin play in their first ever NCAA Regional appearance Thursday (May 15-17) at the Washington National Golf Course in Seattle, WA, home of the University of Washington.
The Colonial Athletic Association champions are seeded 22nd, in the West Regional. The regional includes UCLA, UNLV, Arizona, Georgia, Arizona State, host Washington, Southern California and Stanford in the 27 team field.
The individual Monarchs who will be competing in the regional will be:

Harris is having a very special season. The season won the CAA Medalist title, is currently ranked second in the region and 51st nationally in the sagarin power rankings. His 71.55 scoring average is 26th best nationally and he is one of finalists for the prestigious Byron Nelson Award.
The ten teams with the lowest scores will advance to the NCAA national championships , May 27-30 at the Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, OK, hosted by Oklahoma State. Also the top two individuals whose teams are not one of the ten qualifiers from the regional will advance as well.
