Monarchs Capture Mission Collegiate Golf Title

ORLANDO, FL- Four Old Dominion University Golfers placed ninth or better to help the Monarchs capture the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic title at the HowieInTheHills Golf Course. Freshman Nick Kenney (Toronto, Canada) tied for fifth with a 149, while Geoffrey Harris(Reading, England), Chris Piercy (Reading, England) and Adam Condello (Fairport, NY.) each tied for ninth at 150.

As a team, ODU shot 595 for the two-day 36 hole event, edging Bethune-Cookman by a stroke. Matt Brock of UT Chattanooga won the event in a playoff against Scott Giles of Stetson, as both shot a 141. Harris and junior Chris Kline (Hampton, Va.) recorded ODU's best rounds of the day at 73.

The Monarchs complete the fall season with five top ten finishes in five tournaments and placed fourth or better in of those tournaments.
