Onesi Leads Eastern Amateur After Two Rounds

PORTSMOUTH, VA--Old Dominion's rising junior golfer Eric Onesi (Bear, DE.) shot a 6-under par 64 Friday to lead the second round of the Eastern Amateur at Portsmouth's Elizabeth Manor Golf Course. Onesi's 127 now gives him a tournament lead of three shots over Jude Eustapio of the Phillipines.

Onesi, a two-time All-CAA selection won the Delaware State Amateur earlier this week by 13 strokes. Last year, Onesi finished 12th in this tournament. Fellow Monarch John Murphy (Wilton, CT.)shot a 70 in the second round and now has a 136, while Stan Guerrero (Mexico), who graduated in May is at a 141 after shooting a 73 in the second round.
