Monarchs Win ORU/Southern Hills Golf Classic

BROKEN ARROW, OK (October 10, 2000) -- The Old Dominion golf team won the ORU/Southern Hills Golf Classic today with a final score of 581, edging out Oral Roberts by two points. Freshman Jonathan Evans (Surrey, England) finished second with a score of 142 while teammate Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) finished tied for third with a final score of 143. Overall, four Monarchs finished in the top 20, as Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) and Tony Sarko (Allentown, PA) tied for 14th. Gary Harper (Sidmouth, England) finished tied for 42nd with a final score of 153.
