Men's Tennis Begins NCAA Run

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Old Dominion's Harel Srugo (Kibutz Gazit, Israel) and Alex Seleznev (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic) begin their NCAA run on Wednesday out at the Taube Tennis Center on the campus of Stanford University.

Srugo begins singles play on Wednesday against Raian Luchici from the University of North Carolina. Srugo enters the Round of 64 ranked 23rd nationall with a 27-6 overall record. Luchici, a senior for the Tar Heels, enters competition ranked 10th with a 25-8 overall mark.

Srugo will join doubles partner Seleznev on Thursday for the beginning of doubles competition. The Round of 32 will see the Monarch duo take on Markus Dickhardt and Benedikt Stronk of San Diego State. Srugo and Seleznev are ranked 43rd in the country posting an 18-3 record entering the tournament, while Dickhardt and Stronk are ranked 13th nationally with a 16-4 record.
