By ODU Athletics
The Old Dominion field hockey team (1-5) fell five spots to No. 20 in the latest NFHCA top-20 poll.
The Lady Monarchs dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 1 North Carolina on Friday and lost a 1-0 game in the final minutes of regulation to No. 9 Duke on Sunday.
ODU remained in the Division I National Coaches Poll because of the competition they have played. In those five games ODU is 0-5 but have outshot their opponents this year 77-74.
The Lady Monarchs begin their BIG EAST debut on the road against No. 19 Louisville (4-2) this Friday at 6:30 p.m. ODU will also play Michigan State in Louisville at 11 a.m on Sunday.
