NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University freshman Aleksandra Mitrovska was named CAA Women's Tennis Co-Rookie of the Year, the CAA announced Thursday. Mitrovska shared the award with Alyssa Ritchie of UNCW.

Junior Diana Ivanova earned First Team All-CAA honors while Mitrovska earned second-team accolades. The doubles team of Ivanova and Melissa Esnal Olguin were named to the second team while Esnal Olguin was named to the singles third team.

Mitrovksa, a native of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, started the year winning her first 11 matches. She hit a rough patch in the middle of the year but recovered to win three of her last five matches, including two-straight to end the regular season to help ODU to wins over Navy and Temple. She is second on the Lady Monarchs with a record of 14-7 and is an overall 11-9 in doubles with three different playing partners. She is 4-2 at No. 1 doubles with Ivanova.

Ivanova had an impressive junior season leading ODU with a 15-5 mark playing at No. 1 singles. A native of Moscow, Russia, Ivanova won seven-straight matches in February including a 6-2, 6-1 win over No. 79 Lauren Greco of Georgetown. She finished the regular season winning four of her last five matches. It is the second All-CAA for Ivanova as she was named to the second-team last season.

Ivanova and Melissa Esnal Olguin earned second-team all-conference honors in doubles. The duo went 11-3 at No. 1 doubles including winning seven-straight matches at one point during the season.

A sophomore from San Sebastian, Spain, Esnal Olguin earned her first all-conference honor. She went 10-10 on the year in singles including an 8-7 mark at No. 3. She finished the season with 15 doubles wins.

The Lady Monarchs host the CAA Championships at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center and play William and Mary on Friday at 4 p.m.
