Lady Monarchs Fall To #5 Duke

DURHAM, N.C. -- The Old Dominion women's tennis team fell to 6-5 on the year as they lost to fifth-ranked Duke, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. The win improved the Blue Devils to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Although the Blue Devils took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, the Lady Monarch duo of junior Kerstin Endlich (Neustadt, Germany) and sophomore Fernada Luiz (Nova Lima, Brazil) picked up a win at the top slot. The Old Dominion's team downed Duke's Kristin Cargill and Jennifer Zika, 8-5.

The Lady Monarch return to action on Monday, February 21st against Brown at 4:00 p.m. at Center Court Racket Club in Newport News, Va.
