Women's Tennis Tops St. Joe's, 6-1

TAMPA, Fla. - Old Dominion University women's tennis defeated St. Joseph's 6-1 over spring break in Tampa.

The Lady Monarchs cruised in the doubles point, sweeping the Hawks. Diana Ivanova and Juliana Pires won at the number one spot while Arina Alilueva and Margarita Belyakova won at the number two slot, both by an 8-3 score. Melissa Esnal Olguin and Nika Khmolovska completed the sweept with a win at number three.

ODU continued its solid play into singles. Ivanova kicked things off at number two with a 6-4, 6-1 win while Esnal Olguin delivered a 6-1, 6-1 win at the three spot.

Juliana Pires gave ODU a win at number four with a 6-1, 6-0 win while Alilueva and Khmolovska won 6-0, 6-0 at five and six, respectively.
