Nadine Fahoum and John Malbon Recognized As All-Americans By NSCA

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) recently awarded ODU senior baseball player John Malbon (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior tennis player Nadine Fahoum with its annual All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year award - recognizing the student athletes dedication to strength training and conditioning.
This year, the NSCAA awarded 232 collegiate athletes form 106 schools with this esteemed award. Malbon was selected by the strength coach Yaw Baidoo, MS, CSCS, who said" John brings a blue collar mentality when he comes to the weight room. His leadership on the team makes everyone around him better, and each yar he steps up and pushes himself to his maximal potential to make our program better."
"Nadine is a very special athlete. Her mental and physical toughness in the weightroom has helped her become a much better player. Her performance on and off the court hs given a spark to her teammates to become better as well. I'm very proud of her," said Baidoo.
Fahoum is currently 35-5 overall and 19-2 in singles. The native of Haifa, Israel is currently ranked 21st nationally in singles. Malbon is hitting .268 for the Monarchs this season.
Robert Jursnick, NSCA's Executive Director adds, "The advantages of strength training and conditioning cannot be denied in collegiate atletics. these student-athletes attest to this understanding, and are to be applauded for their hard work and dedication."
