NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion's freshman first baseman Josh Wright (Bridgewater, VA.) hit a two-out grandslam home run in the bottom of the 10th to lift the Monarchs to a 6-2 win over VMI. ODU (16-20) has now won four straight and six of their last seven games.

The Monarchs tied the game in the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded as Max Most scored from third on a balk. ODU's first run came in the first inning on Jake McAloose's sacrifice fly plated Gerard Hall (Washington, DC. ) who doubled and stole third.
VMI's Matt Edwards and Travis Smink held ODU to just two hits through eight innings. Michael Devine took the loss, while Austin Wright (Virginia Beach, Va.) pitched the ninth and tenth for ODU to get his first win of the season.
