GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina University officials announced Monday afternoon that the midweek baseball game between No. 23 ECU and Old Dominion, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 3, has been pushed back to Wednesday afternoon due to potential inclement weather and below freezing temperatures in the area. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.

ODU is 3-4 after rallying to beat St. Joseph's Friday, 11-10. The rest of the weekend was rained out. Junior thirdbaseman Jake McAloose leads the Monarchs in hitting at .385 which includes two homers and six RBI. Edgar Hernandez is second at .375 , Brett Harris is at .333 and Donnie Corsner is at .323.

Ben Tomchick has a 1.74 ERA, while Brett Harris is 1-0 with a 3.85 ERA.

The Pirates (5-1) are coming off a 2-1 week where they picked up their first win over a nationally-ranked team in 2009, defeating No. 11 Oklahoma State 14-7. ECU hosted the Sixth Annual LeClair Classic this past weekend posting a 1-1 record in the rain-shorten event collecting a win over St. John's, 9-7 before falling to Oklahoma State, 7-6.

The Monarchs host Rutgers in a three-game series, beginning this Friday at 3 p.m.
