25TH ANNUAL BASEBALL CLINIC SATURDAY

NORFOLK, VA. - Hall of Fame pitchers Warren Spahn, the winningest lefthander in the game's history, and fireballer Bob Feller who threw three no hitters will be the keynote speakers and clinicians for the 25th anniversary of the Greenwich Kitchens/Old Dominion University Baseball Clinic.

Tickets for the clinic which will be held in the Old Dominion University fieldhouse Saturday, Jan. 26 are $5 for one session, beginning at 9 a.m.

Also serving as clinicians will be Michael Cuddyer (Minnesota Twins), Wayne Gomes (Pittsburgh Pirates), Tim Hummel (Chicago White Sox), Claudell Clark (Pittsburgh Pirates), David Wright (NY Mets), former Pirates great Hank Foiles, former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jeff Ware, and major league scouts Billy Swoope and Allan Erbe. A total of 22 clinicians will be on hand Saturday.

Over the 25 years of the clinic, Baseball greats Hank Aaron, Brooks Robinson, Lou Brock, Dave Winfield, Jim 'Catfish' Hunter, Tommy Lasorda, Tony Gwynn, Will Clark, Rafeal Palmeiro, Cal Ripken, Jr., Cal Ripken, Sr,Al Bumbry, Steve Garvey, Gaylord Perry, and Harmon Killebrew have served as clinicians.

Tonight at the Norfolk Sheraton Bill Swan, former coach at Old Dominion, Virginia Wesleyan and the Tidewater Summer League will be the 25th recipient of the Bud Metheny Award.
