ODU-Hofstra Rained Out Tonight Will Play Two Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.

NORFOLK, VA-- The scheduled Colonial Athletic Association baseball game between Hofstra (6-9/1-2) and Old Dominion (14-9/2-1) for Friday evening has been rained out. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.

Mike Zahm leads the Monarchs with a .433 batting average, while junior David Burns is hitting .382 and leads the team with six homers and 34 runs batted in. Freshman Jake McAloose is third on the team with a .375 batting average and is second on the team in runs scored with 27. Chris Keenan leads the team in runs scored with 31.

On the mound, Anthony Shawler is 4-0 with a 2.72 earned run average to go with 52 strikeouts in 36 innings. Dan Hudson is 3-2 with a 3.15 earned run average. The Pride of Hofstra, coached by Norfolk native Chris Dotolo (VWC '91) is led by Chris Mentrasti with a .365 batting average. Matt Prokopowicz leds the team with 15 runs batted in. Charlie Frago is 2-0 with a 3.86 earned run average.
